NO ONE REALLY KNOWS YOU

NO ONE REALLY KNOWS YOU

It’s strange to learn that no one really knows you. Everyone who knows you has a separate version of you lives in their mind. The person you believe to be “yourself” exists only for you, and even you have no idea who that is.

Each person you meet, have a relationship with, or make eye contact on the street with, creates a perception of “you” in their minds. You’re not the same person to your mom, your dad, your siblings, as you are to your coworkers, your neighbors, or your friends.

There are thousands of different versions of yourself floating around in people’s heads. A portrayal of “you” that exist in each version. And yet, your “you” “yourself” isn’t really a “someone” at all.

People will see what they want to see. Other people’s opinion is a really shitty way to determine how we feel about ourselves. Don’t pretend to be someone you’re not for the sake of others. Stay true to yourself and be proud of your authenticity.
